How to properly open BarkBed

It is a very stable and high quality bed that you and your dog will enjoy for many years. The BarkBed is truly unlike any other dog bed you've seen before. BarkBed is:

The size of bed you need will depend on the height of your dog. The best way to determine the correct size is to measure your dog from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail, this is the minimum length the bed needs for your dog to stretch out. We have included a size guide on our dog bed product pages that provides additional information on bed sizes. Please note that this is only a guide and the most accurate way to choose a size is to measure your dog and the space where the bed will be placed. You can also contact us at any time for advice specifically for your dog. We can show you pictures of similar breed dogs in different sizes so you can be sure you're getting the right size. If you are still unsure of the size when your bed is delivered, please do not open it and contact us for assistance.

It is completely normal for your BarkBed to arrive flat as it has been vacuumed. Please allow 24h for it to fully inflate and look like the pictures on the internet. Your dog can use it right away and it won't affect the bloat process.

How to wash the BarkBed?

We designed the BarkBed with simplicity in mind. No need to wash the whole bed, just pull back the cover and wash it in the washing machine on gentle cycle. The inner lining can be easily wiped clean when needed. The cover dries very quickly in the air - in about two hours.

Can a memory foam mattress be washed?

No, we strongly recommend that you do not wash your memory foam mattress. Simply machine wash the BarkBed cover and wipe the inner liners with a damp cloth and mild detergent.

Can the BarkBed be vacuumed?

Yes, absolutely!

Can I tumble dry the cover?

No. Please hang it to dry in the room or in the fresh air cut inside out. The cover dries very quickly.

How to wash a bouclé cover?

Wash in a gentle wash mode. Do not use bleach or any harsh chemicals. Wash with similar colors. Hang to dry inside out. Do not use a tumble dryer. You can find more information in our BarkBed Washing Instructions section.

Yes, the BarkBed bed has a non-slip base and is quite heavy for a dog to move due to its sturdy structure. This means the BarkBed will never slide or move when your dog climbs in to rest. This is very important for dogs suffering from joint pain.

The BarkBed Bouclé is made of looped yarn fabric and perfectly tailored to your BarkBed. French for “curls” or “loops,” bouclé is characterized by its rough, almost wool-like structure. Our bouclé fabric is made from wool fibers. Light hair/fur is less visible against the cream BarkBed Bouclé. Dark hair/fur will be visible but can be vacuumed. Please note that dark hair can get caught in the small loops and will require more thorough vacuuming. Although the BarkBed Bouclé is high quality and very durable, we do not recommend it for dogs that bite and scratch their bed a lot. BarkBed Bouclé will only withstand light scratches. Heavy scratching can damage fabric loops.

BarkBed is sold with the original bouclé cover. Additional covers in other colors and materials will be available in the future.

Yes! Please choose the same size cover as your original BarkBed. Our covers are specially designed to fit only our cots. If you have any questions about the size of the bed you ordered, please send an email to barklatvia@gmail.com and we will be happy to check your order.

BarkBed does not accept returns if the vacuum packaging of the bed has been opened for hygiene reasons and because it cannot be repackaged after expansion. If you are still in doubt about the size and you have received your delivery, please do not open the bed and contact our team at barklatvia@gmail.com . We can arrange a return if the bed is still vacuum packed.

If you have received your BarkBed and have not opened the vacuum packaging, you can return or exchange the size. The return request must be made within 14 days of the purchase date. BarkBeds must be unopened to be returned or refunded. If you meet these conditions and wish to return your item(s), please contact our team at barklatvia@gmail.com for return details. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. When we receive your returned item, we will send you an email to let you know that we have received your returned item. Upon verification, if the item is unused, we will process your refund to the original payment method. If you have received an item with a manufacturing defect, please contact us at barklatvia@gmail.com as soon as possible with photos of the defect and we will let you know what to do next. Please allow 10 business days for your refund to appear in your account. If you have not received a confirmed refund after 10 working days from when we notified you of the return, please contact us by phone or barklatvia@gmail.com.
